COVID-19

August 4, 2020:  In response to the surge of COVID cases in the Tidewater region we are taking extra safety precautions for our in person office locations.  Please note the following:

  • All in person office visits are appointment only.
  • Appointments are spaced to ensure no overlap for clients and to allow the office to be cleaned regularly throughout the day
  • Everyone in the office, both staff and clients, will be required to wear a mask that covers both the nose and mouth.
  • Temperature screening will occur prior to anyone entering the office.

We thank you for your assistance in helping us make our office environment as safe as possible.

June 3, 2020:

Both of our physical locations, in Virginia Beach & Chesapeake, our open and staffed if you prefer to talk to your attorney in person.  We are seeing clients by appointment only with appointment times spaced out to allow our staff to clean and sanitize the office between each appointment.  If you are in an person client, please do not arrive early to your appointment because we need to ensure our office staff is prepared for your appointment.

We are also fully up virtually with secured video conferencing or telephone service.  These virtual appointments have greater flexibility with timing and scheduling.

March 20, 2020:

Berg & Chmielewski is currently open with normal office hours at each location. We recognize that this is a challenging time with many unknowns regarding the Covid-19 virus. In recognition of this new reality we wanted to let all of our clients and potential clients know the steps we are taking at our practice:

  1. We have the technology in place to conduct any appointment remotely. Please let us know that you'd like your appointment to be held either through our secure video conferencing service or over the telephone and we will make those arrangements for you.
  2. We are taking steps to clean and sanitize our offices throughout the workday and every evening.
  3. All staff are practicing social distancing and have eliminated hand-shaking.
  4. We would ask that if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms, you do not come to our office and you request to have your appointment done remotely or rescheduled.
  5. All staff have been instructed to remain at their home if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness.

Open communication will be key throughout this time. We will do our best to keep our clients and potential clients informed and we ask you to do the same for us in regards to your matter. We thank you for the privilege of being your attorney and look forward to continuing to serve you in the future. If you have any questions, please call us at 757-461-5557.

Let us help you today!
